Conduit or whatever it's called

Where can I get some of that white plastic, box-section cable conduit with a snap-on lid?

Thanks.

I was only looking at some yesterday in B + Q to hide a couple of cables in the cabin. They do it with self adhesive tape on the back, from memory 16mm x 9mm x 1.8m was about £6

Not a source.. but a different kind of trunking to check out.

If you want to put a few cables down it, have some appear part way along.. and be able to lift the top off easily then check out 'finger trunking'. Instead of solid sides it has like rows of little wide flat fingers down the sides. Much easier to feed cables in and out where you like and to take the top off when needed.

Those slightly more expensive Swedish boats use it to take their cables round the tops of the insides of lockers. It's much easier than installing clips every 18".

Just buy the cheap stuff without the double sided tape. The easy way to fit the conduit is with your hot melt glue gun. Drill holes in the base then hot melt the conduit in place through the holes.

B & Q / Homebase / Focus etc.. are always expensive for trunking in my experience.

TLC Direct are a good source, and they deliver.

I got some silvered semi round trunking from them for running cables up my mast for new radar and wind - much easier than routing up inside mast, although we did rivet it on.

Top Tip - whatever size you think you need, get larger.
