I recently installed Photoshop Elements. Now I get message that reads
Adproxy.exe Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because ConnAPI.DLL was not found
Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
It appears some time after booting up. Sometimes fairly soon, sometimes not for quite a while. It only appears once. Thinking that Adproxy.exe was something to do with Adobe Photoshop Downloader (in the system tray) I disabled it. The message still appears but it seems to not always.
Can anybody shed any light on this.
I have not really used Photoshop elements yet and certainly not the downloader. Is the downloader going to fail to work if i want to use it? I seem to be able to launch it from its icon.
What's ConnAPI.DLL? how can I tell if it is there or if it is missing?
I have reinstalled the program. At least I did a system restore and reinstalled a couple of things because something I'd done was stopping the computer from going into sleep mode. (that's sorted).
