Can anyone help by telling me what these should be, & hot or cold?.

Buying a boat (hopefully !) next week & having checked , but keen to know the normal figures so don't get fobbed off by local engineer.

Thanks in advance.

The exact figure isn't as important as them being all about the same, i.e. within 10% of each other; if it's petrol I'd expect something around 120-150psi.

cheers,
david

Hi Andy, agree with the previous poster. If it is a diesel engine pressures need to be around 400+psi and has to be done with proper tester. Hope it all goes well.

Thankyou both.

I'm very familiar with bike compression figures & they can vary from 110 to perhaps 200 psi on maker's spec.....with such a wide variation, I didn't want to guess for a diesel....the 400psi figure is a help.
