I use mylpg.eu to advise Autogas stations. The info is verified by users and is usually reliable. It is excellent for vehicles but very few LPG stations are near enough to be useful to travelling yachts. Taxis will rarely carry gas bottles.

We have a dedicated locker for our gas cylinder, vented and external. We also have s stainless cage on the transom, with a cover, in which we carry a spare cyilinder. We don't need to search for replenishing stations in panic. Most petrol stations in Oz carry refills of steel cylinder and enough can refill your 'own' cylinder (but almost everyone in Oz has a cylinder - they are essential to real Australians who would feel bereft without a BBQ)..
