Completely rotted stringers - scrap the boat or fix?

Lol, I might just do that! But do bare in mind this is a small speedboat with a very simple layout :) How big is your boat?

Bigger, but cockpit seating is still for about 6 - 8 so not much difference. You pay for the skill not material. Unless your seats are block cushions getting the pattern right for compound curves is what you are paying for.

The boat in good condition would be worth 6,000-10,000 euro

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even if the boat and engine are in superb condition, they will be worth a couple of grand at the most.

You can pick modern (Post 2000) runabouts up for less than 5K

Having said that, i dont know where you are located, so if its Malta, I might be wrong !

The answer, as others have said, is yes it is repairable.

But without wanting to be rude, unless you have a good depth of knowledge of GRP and boat building there is a high possibility that you will end up building an accident waiting for a victim.

Sell the good bits and invest the money back into a seaworthy boat. Not what you want to hear but it would be the sensible thing to do.
