Can anyone please recommend where on the web i can order an Electric shower and a site that has a good selection of Bathroom radiators.

We are about to re-do the bathroom and these are the final 2 items i still need to get.
The shower we are looking at are the Mira Electric showers, The one i'm looking for is the Mira Sport 10.8kW. But some people are suggesting the Mira Advanced ATL range.
Does anyone use either of these unit and could recommend them??

Many thanks, And sorry for being NB.

Cheers

Alistair.

Not really answering your question proply but imho dont get an electric shower. They heat the water as it passes thru and even at 10kw there is not enuf power (heat ransfer rate) to heat a big flow rate of water. Much better to connect shower to hot water tank and then (if the hot water in your house is not mains pressure) fit a power shower/booster pump. You then have gushing gallons of hot water in the shower, not a flow-resticted piddle from an electric shower. cost is about the same too.

That was my origional plan.
Plumbing to mains is not a problem, What i thought would be a problem is the size of my hot water tank. It a fairly modern bungalow, and the hot water tank isn't that big, As you say, " Gushing Gallons of hot water" would be nice, But I'd hate to be in the middle of a nice warm shower, then for it too run cold.
I think the cost of a Power Shower is about the same as an Electric Shower, But then there could be a huge difference if we changed the tank.

Hi Alistairr

We have had electric showers before and they are not as good as those from the main heating system - our last two homes being mains gas. However, you could try Makro (possible) or click on diy.com (B&Q's site) and they do Mira range from around £129 up to £300 plus. Roy

Not a problem, even with a standard domestic tank. Unless your idea of a shower is to spend an hour in there...

Hi Roy, We are currently using an Electric shower and yes during the winter there is not very much pressure at all. That why we are looking at the highest rating shower Mira do, 10.8kW.
We have looked at them in B&Q, The Mira Sport is priced there at £229, But i did hope that i might get it somewhere cheaper on the net. Hopefully/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif!!

Cheers.
Maybe see you at the weekend.

Hi Alistairr - maybe see you this weekend as I will be there to repair canvas poppers etc and polish topsides. Hope you get that shower you want. I saw one in a catalogue for only £49.99 plus vat - just 8.5kw mind. They also do loads of fittings and widgets that are useful in boats, incl 12 v telly for £125 plus vat and a cheap hand held gps for £85 plus vat. Really cheap for loads and loads of smaller priced bits and bobs. Oh, it's www.ardelectronics.com

Mira sports shower

I've got a Mira sports 10.8kW. and its independant of the hot water supply and the water that comes out can be so hot that you have to only have it 1/2 way around the 'hot' dial.

the pressures fine and am very happy with it.

Hope this helps
