If the guy anchored so close in that he's on the beach after an hour's fall of tide....

[/ QUOTE ]... then he deserves to be grounded. And if his hook drags in such a light breeze, he needs a lesson in dropping the hook.

We're getting pedantic.

Heard on Radio 4 this morning that the Royal Mail have introduced competitions where postmen can win a new car or a £2k holiday as an incentive to go to work. Could we have a competition for a new boat if we visit the fora ?

Get fishing boat to take your longest strongest warp as far out as possible the n lower his anchor. With fishing boats engines going ahead to take some of the strain ,winch yourself up the rope until clear. Also roll up genoa and cleat main in hard to help push stern around and heel a bit.

Im not keen on the towing from Halyards approach your putting huge strain on fittings in a direction they were not designed to be pulled from.

Alternatively remember your mobile next time.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
