Compass24 - Avoid

I have used Compass24 on three separate occasions and every time they have fecked it up.

First time they hit me with an undeclared 7 week delivery delay.
Second time goods damaged in transit, failed to collect on two specified dates.
Third time ten day delivery quoted then they changed it to 30 days.

Avoid unless you have loads of patience and time to spare.
 
I have to agree... for the money it is good stuff. Normally the website tells you of a stock date and whether it is going to be days or weeks. I have had a few orders from them and been happy with all of them... when returning something for a different size they (DHL) collected it the next day and credited straight away... can't say fairer than that.
 
I've only used them once, for a buoyacy aid. Ordered it for express delivery (48hours). I odered it by phone rather than on-line although I was told that if I did it on-line I would save money. Very good service and it arrived (from Germany) when it was supposed to.
 
I've used them on a number of occasions. Their order fulfilment is a little weak - there can be delivery delays and stock issues - so I would not order something from them that I had to have in a couple of days.

However they are very responsive to customer complaints/returns and some of their prices are very good so I continue to use them as one of my sources of chandlery

Dunno about that!. I wrote to them a fortnight ago about a pair of their binoculars that had become faulty after little over a year and I 'm still waiting for a reply.

Perhaps I should say that they were last time I had any cause to contact them - but I always use the telephone in preference to writing
 
Reverse experience..

..in my vcase.

Folding bike arrived within 2 days.

Dinghy cover - next day

Collection of bits arrived in three days.

All from their distribution depot in germany.

No damage.

Perhaps you've just been unlucky?

I've used them for 3 weeks running. I order Sunday evening and the goods arrive 9 a.m Wednesday. Very pleased so far.

It's not just you I have ordered a range of items from Compass24 in the past and they have either shipped the wrong thing, shipped the correct item (very) late, shipped broken goods or given me their own brand goods that were completely unfit for purpose. After many phone calls they still owe me money but I just can't be bothered to chase them any longer.

I wondered if it was just me but I don't think so.

It's a shame that they care more for making money than giving good customer service and I refuse to use them again.
