Has anybody else out there had very bad service from this company.

As they are connected with this site i wanted to find out if it is only me..??

When trying to call them up can you actually get through..do they have some kind of magic phone system that tells if you are spending money with them or complaining..if the later then the phone just rings and rings...!!!

I have ordered several things over the last year or so. Some items have taken longer than expected, but all have arrived. They have also answered the phone when I called to find out why the delay on one item a while back. Can't fault them so far!

Have I just been lucky or have you just been unlucky?!!!

You are very lucky.

I ordered £246 worth of nasa kit last month..it was shipped on the 21st of may....i still haven't got it.....and i have only been able to get hold of any body once since then..i have given up calling them and now revert to email...lets see what comes out of it.

I've had real problems getting things from them and they are only a few miles from where I live. I was told, when I eventually got through, that my order had been despatched on 24th May, it finally arrived today. That's about one mile a day for it to get to me.

The package had a label on it saying "Guaranteed 48hr delivery"!

The worst thing though is their inability to give even a reasonable level of support on the phone.

Here's a challenge though. I'll bet that nobody from Compass will come onto this thread to explain themselves.

My experience is similar to yours, Jerry. I have ordered from them several times and what I ordered has been delivered promptly.

Ooh we do, at least to look, but we run silent most of the time. After all, you usually make us feel so welcome:)

On a more serious note this thread has been reported to Compass. Don't know for sure but after their experiences of trying to explain themselves a few weeks back I'm guessing a repeat effort is unlikely as they are still trying to repair the ablative heat shield after the substrate beneath was damaged on last entry.

I think there are two different points here. (1) If I was complained about in this way I wouldn't come on here to defend myself either, it's a hiding to nothing, but (2) I'd be in touch with the complainer real fast by conventional means to make sure that I minimised the damage.
