Compass Adjustment

This might be a dumb question, but does your chart plotter have a constant effect on the compass - or does it depend on what its doing and how much power it's drawing?

It's a good question. Seems to have a constant effect regardless of whether it's turned on and off. I therefore think it's just some of the components which are impacting the compass rather than any electromagnetic impact. This was why I felt able to have a reasonable go at adjusting it myself.

Someone, somewhere will have another copy of your compass, and may be able to provide you with a pic, a user's manual or even a spare......
