A couple of years ago i bought a pair of binoculars from them as a present. It was 6 months until i handed the present over, to find they were faulty. Compass replaced them without a quibble, even arranging for a collection.

So i'd recommend them very happily.

Not used them for a while but when I did no problems and good prices. Get on their mailing list and get special offers and occasional free delivery.

Got my tillerpilot from them, when it went on the blink I got in touch to check that the Raymarine warranty was still valid, and they said that I had nothing to worry about as Compass offer an additional year's warranty cover! Hadn't even noticed that at time of purchase.

Any experiences with this firm good or bad please?

http://www.compass24.com/web/catalog/shop

They've something I'm after a a good price but I've no idea whether they're good to trade with.

TIA

Rob

Used them a lot years ago when we were equipping previous boat.
No problems whatsoever - nearly always cheapest on the web.
Not used them recently, but would not hesitate to use them again.

As un update on this old(ish) thread I would say that I purchased the desired kit from Compass 24 and found the firm excellent as others (above) had suggested that I would. Very good pricing, right goods delivered safe & secure and on time. It seems as though it might be a Germany based outfit but with a UK despatch facility in Newton Abbot. Strangely I've not known much about this firm previously but they're on the radar now!

Great job, thanks Compass 24.

Yes, German company based in Ascheberg near the Dutch border with many European outlets, including one here in Switzerland on the lake of Zürich. Founded sometime in the 1970s but only since taken over by Michael Dehler, the son of the founder, has the company expanded greatly.

They tend to stock a lot of cheaper stuff with a corresponding lesser quality but for standard, branded equipment the prices are good and the service excellent. Everyone I have dealt with - and I sometimes visit the shop in person as well as order on-line - is always friendly and helpful.
