Compare prices instantly across 16 leading UK chandleries

List the results rather than tiling them (easier to look through), and show the shipping prices too.

Good start, well done.

I'm sure you'll make a bit out of commission and ads, but in all honesty does it really save time or money compared with a Google Shopping search? Google Shopping covers many more stores and includes shipping costs.

When I select a store from top row it loads in the open window - no way that I can by clicking back to home page. Possibly open in a new tab?

Good start.

If you're not aware then Marine Mega Store, not be confused with Marine Super Store, are well known for not having in stock what you order and for some have proven very difficult to deal with ; pleased to see Mega..... are not on your site

Thanks Dave,
Assume it would be possible for you to relatively easily add more chandlers, assuming they have an online presence & search facility on their site? If that's the case can we suggest more to add to the site?

Google Shopping is clearly an excellent resource, but I think many people will welcome a tool that focuses specifically on the chandlery sector. It also depends on the product you're after. It's early days for Pricealicious, shipping costs is next on my todo list.

Hi,

I've just launched this website and would welcome any feedback, positive or negative, from users. It saves time and money when buying gear for your boat. Thanks!

I didn't see Salty John on your list. Also missing is QuayWest Marine in Poole.

It is obviously not your first line of thinking, but have you considered including, as a separate heading, caravan equipment suppliers? If used carefully they are often good. Many times I find the identical kit at much lower prices. At present I use Google for this, but you could well include it. The caravan people often supply to Inland Waterways type customers and some do narrowboat conversions. They also supply the local coastal sailors/fishing boats, if they are near the sea of course. It was from that background that I learnt to use them.

Looks good so far though.

Cheers!

Mike

Thanks!

I'll look into adding these chandlers ASAP. And very interesting idea about caravan equipment suppliers, I hadn't thought of that at all, looks like I've some research to do!

i frequently buy items for my boat from caravan outlets, their prices on such items as batteries, cookers, fridges and hot air air heating/bits are very competitive indeed .
