Coming Back After Two Year Break

Having raised a sprog to four years old, it's time to come back to boating. Having previously had an S28, we are now looking at either an S42 or S48 both of which are quite sensibly priced for 3 or 4 year old models.
The plan is to winter the boat in St Kat's Haven for long weekends in London and in summer, back to the East Coast, probably on the Orwell.
I know the East coast area pretty well as we kept the S28 there but would appreciate any feedback from "the panel" on keeping a boat at St Kat's and/or S42/S48's.

Had a S43 for 5 years,very pleased with it. S43 is on shafts like S48, S42 is on out drives,bit more economy on the juice,but ride not quite as good,pays your and makes your choice!!

Welcome back, I am on my last two month of a 6 month over winter in St kats and loved it, maybe do it again next year, Like you back to east coast(faversham) in summer.
