Hi, Does anybody have real experience or views on the Comfortinas? ...they get great reviews in the german press but seem a little unknown here..they look like quick very good value for money cruisers

From memory and for what its worth, the Army Sailing Club Kiel bought 10 Comfortina 35s a few years ago but went back to Hallberg Rassys. Worth an opinion from Kiel.

The problem with the Kiel Comfortinas was that 10 yachts from the yard represented a very high proportion of its total output which caused problems on both sides.

Comfortinas are very well built Swedish cruiser racers with well balanced, conservative lines which give excellent handling and above average performance. The 39 is well up my list of all time favourites. I hope to be testing the 42 shortly - a balanced report /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif will follow

Love the guy who sells them, a German I believe..... his persuasive line with me, to help me commit was... "Well, how many summers do you think that you have left ?".

British Kiel Yacht Club change their fleet every three years. If you are on the lookout for a very well maintained 33'ish footer get in touch.

Flamingo, who's ex skippers include Adolf Hitler and Hermann Goering won't be for sale.
