Come on ladies....

Re: Not SHy ???????

Being late is a woman's perogative!..I'm very definitely NOT shy, but as you can see from the time of the "posts"..I'm up very late...and you're up too early for me !!!! Perhaps in 4 years time when i'm older, I'll need less sleep and be able to get up earlier... I prefer "sea" dogs to cats...and parrots talk toooo much.....!!

Here are a few hints for those who need them/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Valentine's Day (val*en*tinez dae) n. A day when you have dreams of a candlelight dinner, diamonds, and romance, but consider yourself lucky to get a card.

Dating hints for gentlemen

There are lots of ways to ruin a date. Here are a few things NOT to say on a date...

I really don't like this restaurant that much, but I wanted to use this 2-for-1 coupon before it expired.

I refuse to get cable. That's how they keep tabs on you.

I used to come here all the time with my ex.

Could you excuse me? My cat gets lonely if he doesn't hear my voice on the answering machine every hour.

I really feel that I've grown in the past few years. Used to be I wouldn't have given someone like you a second look.

It's been tough, but I've come to accept that most people I date just won't be as smart as I am.

Re: Not SHy ???????

well stock_ingtops.....what can i say.....
I must say I find you rather intrigueing and perhaps worth staying up late for.....
I had a lie in this morning so will see if i can stay awake tonight until you put in a appearance......really cant believe we should let another 4 years go by without making some effort /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
By the way, Im glad you like 'sea dogs'...Im an old seadog myself and my Bosun is a great little scrapper as well......cant stand cats or parrots.....
By the way, I'm intrigued as to how you manage to stay up at night....do you have those little suspender type thingies or are you a more modern rubbery friction tops type?....just being inquisitive u understand......

hope to catch you later........

Re: Not SHy ???????

Well I obviously stay up a lot later than you!! ..I'm able to stay up soo late as I don't need too much beauty sleep !! Also Wednesday's are my "boating " day??? and as I'm so full of energy. I find that by the time I've removed my little rubbery thingies or the other kind, depending on my mood, walked the dog ( by the way I wondered who Bosun was) fed the fish etc etc.... I don't sleep till late......
I'm pleased you had a "lie in" at least i have done something for you!!!!
4 years is not that long to wait....... you never know, it might just be worth it !!!
Treat them mean...keep them keen...so I've heard......

Please dont be mean....

hi stocking tops...or, now we're getting to know each other a little, perhaps i can call you marilynne?

You really are being a bit of a tease arent you.....stayed up until well after 1am this morning but u didnt show.....guess you must have been busy with that indecent liason you mentioned earlier?

I think i can definitely say you are 'doing something for me' but believe me, at my age 4 years is a long time to wait and may well be the difference between .......no, perhaps we'd better not go there....

See u have a sealine S37....mmm posh...is it all yours or do you share it with somebody special? Did look you up in the official records so to speak but couldnt see anything that might be described as tweeny....perhaps you are hiding something from me or are not all you pretend to be?

Anyways, perhaps u could make the effort to meet me half way and get up early one morning? You might enjoy the experience..........

Dont treat me too mean tho.....i prefer an easy life and might just settle for one of the many other offers i have received........
BFN....and Bosun says hi.......

Re: Please dont be mean....

Sorry you had such a late night and early morning !! I lost track of time with my "indecent liason".......???? Wednesdays -----Boaty day!!
Mr. "X" ?? taught me all I know about boaty things and I took to it like a "duck to water"....!!!!
I've never pretended to be anything other than myself... Tweenie is a nickname and HWMBO prefers that I say no more!!!!! mind you...I've never been one to listen!!
I'll have an early night tonight then perhaps I will make the effort to enjoy the early morning experience.... Always the best time........
By the way..If your "other offers" are within the 4 years I won't be jealous and suggest you better while you still can !!!!...There'll always be Bosun 4 you....man's best friend...and all that... Stan Collymore can testify to that... Say hi back to B from Marilynne

Hmmmm...getting sneaky....

See you popped in somewhat earlier last night when i wasnt looking out for you !
Well, this really is becoming a cryptic confrontation isnt it?
Indecent liaison, Wednesday 'Boaty Day', Mr X, 'duck to water' and even Stan Colllymore seems to be getting in on the act. I feel u are trying to tell me something here but, sadly, I am beginning to feel somewhat uneasy with you and feel u are playing games.
Thanks at least for telling me Tweenie is a nickname...if u feel like a bit of fun we could meet Website, Photo Gallery, Chat Room, Burgees

Re: Hmmmm...getting sneaky....

Sorry...this is up with the lark 4 me..!! I did try.... I loved the "tweenies" but I'm not as good with the computer! I think the sense of humour is great tho! I will try to find a "compassionate" time later but if not please don't take it personally....M

At least you tried......

I have to say I am quite impressed. You are clearly more of an owl than a lark so I am touched that you made the effort.....

I am interested by your ID...STOCK_INGTOPS...particularly as you have decided to split it in that way...would I be right in thinking there is some interesting inuendo or private little joke 'tucked away' there?

Do hope you manage to sneak back with a little 'compassionate' time, but if not , don't worry....I am a patient chap and can bide my time....even 4 years if needs must.......

yours considerately....
T

Re: At least you tried......

What can I say? We are destined to be around at different times! My timing has always been a little out.....but.......I did make an effort, you're quite right! My "compassionate time" is ongoing, and I do respect a patient, considerate man..There has to be a first for everything!!

In answer to your question re: ID...
Stockingtops was suggested to me by a friend..for all the obvious reasons, but the "split" was all my own little idea as I seem to have such a split life and it just seemed very appropriate... An ID should reflect the person...so....???? No hidden agenda there.

What you see..is what you get with me.....mostly!!.....

Have to be up "with the lark" tomorrow as unfortunately I have to go to work to support all my hobbies...What a pain!....... M

Saturday working.....

Hi M,

Really sorry to hear u have to work on a Saturday.....as by your own admission you are normally a late riser this raises all sorts of interesting questions.....but it would be impertinent of me to delve further with us being only so recently aquainted.

Thank you for assuring me that there is no hidden agenda behind the way you have chosen to style your ID. I must confess I find all styles of stocking tops quite delightful in these days of utilitarian garments so however you choose to wear yours is fine by me.

As we seem to be getting on so well, may i venture to ask if there could be any softening in your insistence that I may need to wait another 4 years before we can progress our relationship? With the full splendour of the boating season approaching, it would be nice to think that we might raft up together in some idyllic mooring place and partake of a nicely chilled vintage whilst discussing the finer points of a shared interest.

Just one final question if I may.......could you clarify your earlier reference to Stan Collymore for me....I am not familiar with the sport of football and I just wonder if there is something there that may have passed me by?

Welll, I must fly as there are things to be done and I am sure you must be getting bored with my prattlling.....do let me know how good a day you had at work though....i do hope it was fruitful and lucrative......

Hope to hear from you again soon...T.

Re: Saturday working.....

It's me again !! Thank you for your sentiments about my working on a Saturday....it's a bit of a pain, but needs must and I always have fun when I'm there....It's certainly lucrative for my boss and it's always nice to be appreciated.

With regard to the Stan C comment.... I really do apologise. It was a reference to "dogs" , not football, as I was mentioning Bosun and a silly thought came into my head .....just a current piece of news that day.. sorry! It was very rude....

I do hope I have not misled you in any way, as that was not my intention, as I said, I have no hidden agenda but I am enjoying our little "chats". I'm certainly not bored by your "prattling"... as mine is much more boring!!

Another late night.........so I'll say goodnight !!!! .........M

I must apologise.....

Hi M.........sorry i didnt get back to you yesterday....

Thank you for yet another friendly note and I am pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable day on Saturday. Also, so nice to hear that you actually feel appreciated by your employer...such a rare situation these days, it seems.

I feel a complete idiot about the Stan C / 'dogs' matter. Having now investigated a little further, and discovered the news item to which you were obviously referring, I realise how little i keep up with the minutiae of current affairs, particularly those of a sporting nature...you must think me very naive. Howver. please do not apologise. Far from being offended I am delighted to recognise the quick witted sense of humour and wonder if i am not also seeing an indication of a little fun based wickedness in you which could be quite delightful !

I notice you have cleverly avoided any response to my plea regarding the 4 year moratorium - c'est la vie.......or did you perhaps simply overlook it in your anxiety to clear up the other matters? I do hope it was the latter, but I am sure you will let me know when you, hopefully, respond to this in the same friendly way you have treated all my previous correspondence

Thank you for denying my suggestions that I prattle....as for your own responses, I can assure you I do not find them boring....in fact i now look forward each day to your replies.....

Until next time.............T.

Re: I must apologise.....

Hi T !!!!!......... I don't know what trolling means.....but it sounds quite rude!!! I think it must be one of the Billy goat Gruffs !!! That's the only troll I know of.....

I thought your "note" was very funny.. you obviously have a great sense of humour..... Now you have been enlightened about "some" current affairs I expect your next enlightenment will be sports.... I am a huge "football" fan, although between my "boating" activities and everything else there's not too much time.!! However, I do have a season ticket for my poor, doing badly, team and go to matches whenever I'm able... I love watching most other sports, but am too lazy to participate.....(in most of them)

I definitely have a wicked sense of humour and although you think it could be delightful, I can assure you it often gets me into trouble!!!... I didn't think anybody else would be reading these posts ( in my naiviety).. and feel a little bit embarrased and a tweenie bit shy !!!!!...

I also look forward to receiving replies from you but I repeat that I would not like you to get the wrong impression !!!!! .............

Look forward to the next one ???????? ..............M

Wrong impression?

Hi M....!

Dont worry...havent formed any impression that you are likely to be offended by...and even if i do form the wrong one you can always point out that it was all my own doing......!!!!!

Glad to know I wasnt too far out in suspecting you have a wicked sense of humour....dont worry about it getting you into trouble with me tho. I ought to warn you that I can sometimes be a little slow on the uptake so if you really want to be a bit wicked u may have to give me the odd gentle hint. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Sorry to hear that your team arent exactly cuttting the mustard at present, but Im sure that with you as a loyal supporter they can be inspired to do better.....did u send them all individual valentine cards to spur them on I wonder ?

Don't worry about others here reading our correspondence....they're probably too wrapped up in their own worries about boaty disasters and concerns to even give us a second glance......except for that 'troll' guy of course....but then he was a little rude anyway, invading our space like that !!! ....and there was me just thinking how nice it was that folks hereabouts had been leaving us alone together.....c'est la vie......

Well, here we are again...another day, another dollar as 'they' say.....do get back to me soon and brighten my day.....and dont worry about being embarassed and shy...Im sure you can find other ways of letting me know anything you'd rather keep private...if u know what I mean /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

byeeee till later....

T......xx

Re: Wrong impression?

Hi T !!!!!!!!!!............. Firstly I must say that this is number 1 in "compassion" .... 'because as today is Wednesday...(remember..."boating" day)!! and I'm sitting here typing, this must mean I definitely have a "nautical" sense of humour!!...... so I hope you're not tooo slow on the uptake of this hint!!!! .......

I'm about as subtle as an anchor!

In answer to your valentine question..... Where else can I go to be with 36,000 men other than a football game? Of course I sent the whole squad cards...to spur them on ( how apt...as Spurs is my team) unfortunately I only received cards back from 25 of them!! I shall have to be a little bit more inspiring!...any suggestions?

If "Mr Troll" is soooo bored he has to go back over 5 pages just to see what we're saying, I will have to think of something more personal to say to you....just for the pleasure of being called a "troll" again....or was that to you?.......... what a sad life some people must have! All boats and no fun!

Well I must get back to my antifouling etc etc..... speak to you soon???.........M xx!!
Hope this has brightened your day as it certainly has mine!!!!!................

So many hints but........

Hi M !!!!! you really are making me wonder whether all these little hints are simply your little bit of fun or whether there really is something deeper to be found ! Is it possible that we have met before?...perhaps in another place?

Wednesday, boating day, anchor, compassion, nautical.........and what sort of woman goes back to the antifouling at 1800 hrs on a winters evening??????

I reluctantly admit that there is confusion in my mind with so many little hints failing to crystalize my thinking........why do you tease me so......?

I really dont know how many chaps there are in the Spurs squad but responses from 25 of them seems to me to be a pretty emphatic majority vote in your favour....and would there be room for any more of them to join you in the communal bath anyway? As for any suggestions as to how you could be more inspiring....well.....i do have some ideas but it is perhaps best if i do not air them here....

Dont worry aboout the 'troll' guy...as u say they are sad people if they can only get their interest and enjoyment from intruding into our pleasantries.

Well, another day is ending and yet again you have brought a little joy into my existence.....you will be welcome again tomorrow........

Until then please consider a little more compassion and ease my task in unravelling the delightful web of intirigue you have been spinning around me.......

Yours as ever .......T xx

Re: So many hints but........

This is just a very quick reply.....lengthier one will follow when awake! Seeings it's now "tomorrow" I presume your day will now be "joyful"

By the way, as regards the nightime antifouling.... have you ever heard of women using spotlights etc??.... or it could mean something quite different!.......

Perhaps just a "hint" of boaty...........
