How is the holding in Colwell Bay? I am planning to take some friends there, to The Hut, in a couple of weeks time and I am always nervous about leaving my boat unattended at anchor. I know that here is a water taxi to and from shore - do these guys keep an eye on customers boats? I assume that there are no mooring buoys available?

Any advice gratefully received.

No mooring buoys available, but holding is good ( clay ) . Drop the hook on a transit between the road next to the hut and Hurst lighthouse but be aware of the shoals to the east and west close in . Its a great place enjoy :encouragement:.

I was say holding is OK depending on your anchor. I've broken loose twice after the tide has turned and had to get the tender out to re-set it.
