Does anyone have any idea what sort of speed I would get from a Colvin seaworker mk.3 with an 80 hp inboard diesel, thanks. Kieron
And when working out fuel consumption using the 0.4 lbs per hour is this the flat out consumption or the cruising speedDoes anyone have any idea what sort of speed I would get from a Colvin seaworker mk.3 with an 80 hp inboard diesel, thanks. Kieron
12-14kts cruising speed on a 22’ boat, with pothauler, spare engine and other fishing gear With a 40hp outboard!! Of course, we all believe thatAs per pictures on the web the hull comes in several flavours.
The Length in Waterline (LWL) formula "Hull speed = 1.34 X Square root of LWL" based on the 5.94m LWL calculates to 5.9155 knots.
Some 80hp sounds to be plenty for that, IMO.
If semi-displacement the top speed potentially can be higher. Hull shape not showed, but a 40 hp outboard on this allegedly does 12-14 knots.
In any case the GW will be crucial.
