Does anyone have any experience of these vessels, particularly their suitability for channel hopping?

Look at the PBO page and find the section from Colin Jones. He has a Colvic, a 26 I think, and for almost as long as I can remember he and Rita spend the summer on board in the Med and come back to Lyme Regis for the winter.
They have written numerous articles for the PBO and you will also find a diary page on PBO. There should also be an email address there for them.

Good little sea boat, as ever always pick your weather. Have you just bought it? If so watch out for some vitriolics from Tomo when he finds out.

A injusice has been done
I would not wish anything bad to a fellow boater, but I will go outside and mutter quietly about lucky b*****D and other suitable adjectives! - then I'll try to find something suitable to kick...to vent my jealous rage!!

If you have not already purchased, bear in mind that many of these were fitted out by amateurs. Others by small yards.
Some amateur fit outs are very good, others are a disaster!

It's a good thing I haven't bought it yet. I am still in the considering stage. In these troubled times, major expenditur on anything seems to be either delayed, cancelled or considered even more than it would have been anyway!
