Been trying to contact Colvic without success. Tried website and phone, nothing works. Can anybody help ... or have I missed another marine co. going under?

Bust!

Colvic went into liquidation at the end of 2000. Assets were bought by Lancer Laminating, who were supposedly going to continue, etc, etc, etc, etc

Colchester, Essex - Lancer Laminating Ltd. has acquired the assets formerly owned by Colvic Craft PLC, which is in liquidation. Sales Manager Clive Coble said that Lancing, which is trading from Colvic's old premises, will offer a range of boats for trade builders, using ex-Colvic Craft tooling. Coble said that the new company has secured the services of all ex-Colvic plug-making staff . 4/1/00

The assets of troubled Essex-based contract molder Colvic Craft, which was the subject of a winding-up order at the High Court of Justice in London on 3 November, have been sold to Lancer Marine. 17/11/00

I think you may have, I've been trying to get information on my 40' Victor but I think they 'went down' a year or two back.
Sorry to be the bearer of such news.
Kevin Coulson.

I bought a second hand Colvic 26 Sailerthis year & would love to get some detailed specs. on the boat.

Does anyone know of an owners association or any mags that have done write-ups on this boat.

Regards

Martin

Thanks for the effort KJD but mine is the Colvic Sailer I have visited the link you said & it is only for the Watson Motor Sailer version.

Regards

Martin

If its any help the Colvic Countess Association is currently at
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://freespace.virgin.net/tony.kerry/>http://freespace.virgin.net/tony.kerry/</A>
They list a Countess 28 in the range but if that's not the one, one of the contacts listed on the site may be helpful.

Landamores fitted out a great deal of Colvic boats and should have archive info. You can contact them via Oysters in Ipswich who have also had many yachts completed by them over the years. I know Colvic have gone bust and Lancers now have the mouldings but Landamores would still be worth contacting

I have recently bought a Colvic Watson 26, and I am looking for the same sort of information that you were. Did you have any luck

Unfortunately my search has so far been fruitless.

I must admit that I am surprised that none of the magazines seem to have reviewed any of the Colvic range.

Kit boats are obviously not in favour.

Re: review

OK Point taken but I can't find a review anywhere on the Colvic Sailor 26 which has been available for home completion & as a complete package by several others.

So my search goes on.

Re: review

Martin why not go to

This may give you some leads.
