HELP!
Just fitted a battery isolator, should be quite a simple job, but not turned out that way.

Problem is, all works OK, until i switch off the main battery breaker switch. Once this is in the OFF position everything should be dead, but it's not?? as when i turn the ignition key i find that i still have power going to the starter solenoid, clicking noises, not enough to turn the starter. Also power going to a few other places.

I metered the cables and found that there is current running down back from the HERSEE isolator into the alternator. Surly this can't be right.

I was always under the opinion that isolators were fitted with one way diodes and no current should be able to seep back to the alternator.
This is a brand new Cole Hersee unit purchased off an Ebay shop. Could it be faulty??

Any opinions/help please.
