Can the panel advise me on coding please

1 do you have to have it for chartering?

2what are the categories?

3. what else do you need apart from a liferaft?

4.there was something else but can't remember at minute! (it will come to me )

5 is there a difference in coding between bareboat and skippered?

You need to get the MCA handbook for charter vessels, it`s all in there, considerably more than just a liferaft!!

There was a thread on this a couple of days ago, with most of the information you need to get going.

It's expensive!

<hr width=100% size=1>There is no such thing as "fun for the whole family."

i am going through the process of coding my boat, the list is endless:-

Liferaft, lifejackets, horseshoe buoys, flares, cop, torch, knife, cabin vents, spare anchor, extra bilge pumps, high water alarm, fire wraps on fuel lines, fuel switches located away from engine bay, throw line, 1st aid kit, radar reflector, fog horn, boat hook, tow line, hand vhf. This just the saftey gear then on top you need to do all the bits n pieces to the boat in order to comply with MCA.

The list goes on further than this.

Tability tests have changed recently so its not quite as expensive.
