Cockpit enclosure for Aquador 28c

Hi,
I'm trying to find someone who can supply me a cockpit enclosure for an Aquador 28c. The boat has never had one before so frames needed too.
I'm up in Shetland Isles so not practical to get the boat measured up by a professional company to make one. I was hoping a company somewhere would
have a pattern on file which could be copied? I have tried a few companies without success. Any help would be appreciated!

i have an Aq 26HT and the local canvas guy made a template
recon that is the only way to go as they are quite rare and not all quite the same

i was offered only one quality of canvas, with hindsight i should have researched that more and spec'd better material
blue canvas looks better but is hotter than lighter colours

Hi, thanks for that. I have found a company called Seaside Marin in Sweden which can supply one same as the original but it's costly at around £2000. Material is Sunbrella and available in various colours. Apparently Aquador used Captain Navy up to 2010 and dark Navy thereafter.
 
Yes it includes all supports and fixings. It's the proper original cover so it should fit properly. Delivery around £175.

To be honest if that price includes everything you need and its made in Sweden then it doesn't seem expensive - I had a quote from Hardy for an original fit for a Hardy 25 (similar size and fittings) and that was £2500 - go for it and enjoy a more useable boat.........

Is she the boat that was for sale in Falmouth? We had a look and almost went for her. Guessing you got her back home alright/

No, but i also looked at the boat in Falmouth too. But i bought one in Lowestoft instead which was in better condition. I actually made an offer on the Falmouth one but when he (the broker) got back to me he said they had sold it to someone else!! I thought the broker would have invited me to make another offer considering how far i travelled to look at it...not too impressed, but anyway i got the other one delivered back to Shetland now.

Yes, i agree with you there, price is ok all things considered. Im just waiting on a freight quote then most likely going ahead with it. Not sure if i will need to pay import tax?
 
Also, you do wonder what residual damage may have been done when the leg had a mooring wrapped around it. I know that it had been replaced, but you may have dodged one there. Also, there was that hefty dig on the starboard aft quarter, and what looked like a bigger repair on the port side. Maybe a bit knocked about by a clumsy or clueless owner.

Yes, the condition of the hull put me off a bit, they didn't even bother having it polished up for selling. And yes you never know about the drive leg without a sea trial.
 
Boat is really nice, high build quality, lovely finish on woodwork, as you would expect wit the price of these boats. Well designed boat with side doors and side decks. Not been out with it that much yet with the weather but it's fun to drive, plenty of power? Time will tell after using it for a while.
 
Thanks. On the look out for a boat, had a look at a 25C but it seemed a bit cramped. Side doors a tight squeeze for someone large like me.
