Anyone know of a source for these. The existing one are plastic skin fittings which stick up about 10mm. I'm looking for flush metal ones, like on the kitchen sink but smaller, valves have half inch thread.
Hello Peter
Had same problem but wanted better draining and a fitting with a 'Grate' (to stop bits going down and blocking) and fitted new 1 1/2" dia drains as pictured (starboard side), I did the counterboring of the original hole with a drill fitted with a small grinding wheel so the fitting 'fitted flush'.
Each fitting discharges on the opposite side and each outlet has it's own seacock, otherwise you may get water coming back up the pipes when 'heeled over when sailing and rough weather.
These fitting available at most chandlers
Hope this helps
MIKE
yeah, i know! this is what was fitted before, the fittings are sized for 15mm pipe, tho the plastic bits result in a bore of about 10mm due to the wall thickness. too small you think?
I got some from Seascrew a couple of years ago. They were brass, countersunk, but didn't have the grating so there is a risk of loosing small items down them. Mo more pools of water in the cockpit, though!
