Cobra no satellite

Hi guys
I have a cobra radio VHF that is not displaying the locations GPS coordinates
The radio in the test prompt says 'no satellites'
Any ideas why this is?
My handheld VHF works fine and displays GPS coordinates

If your radio is getting gps from an external antenna then I would check the connection. Your handheld will have an internal gps.

When was the VHF last switched on?

If it was some time ago it will take time to find the signals and build its own table of where they are.

Which Cobra radio is it? May help to identify the issue?Is it one with self contained GPS, or is it getting data from an external GPS/Chartplotter?
