Hi, had an embarrassing moment, approaching a marina, and trying to call them on channel 37.
My radio goes from channel 28 straight to channel 60.
I can get all them ones below and above, but none between 28 - 60.

It has three settings USA. CAN. INT. I have put it on INT.

Can anyone assist please.

Must be added by them, there's no mention of it in the manual.

The manual, at least the one in English that I found on line, IIRC refers to "recreational" channels and says they can be added by your dealer.
I guess if you buy one from a reputable UK chandler they are fitted as a matter of course. Be a bit peeved if you bought one and found it didnt have all the "usual" channels

Presume you have some sort of winch to get it on and off the boat.
Diodes on a matrixboard fine in Nelsons day when you had 12 channels ! :)

It may be a bit heavier than the Cobra that is the subject of the thread but is under 2kg and that's no problem for a bit of kit that stays old board the whole time.

you sure its not hiding between the topmost numbered channel and the lowest? my Standrad Horizon has M1 and M2 (or N1 and N2 die to the led readout) if you scroll down from the lowest number before it starts again at the top

How do I add M2 to mine ?

Vic, I'll send you the circuit. You will enjoy the challenge of working out the PLL multipliers. (can't remember if the circuit shows the crystal frequencies, but they are as usual marked on the cans). I assume your set has P1 programmed as Ch37, which is the clue you then need to work out the diode(s) needed for your chosen channels.

(There is an interesting function referred to in the manual which says the 'spare' position after P4 is an 'optional scan of the [4] private channels'. I would love to implement this if anyone knows how!).

Vic(M) ..... (will of course help more specifically if needed :) )

Edit: Never having desired M2, just looked it up. (161.425). Maybe that IS out of the easily possible range and it WAS a trick question! :o

The gybe about "only 12 channels" isn't so cutting nowadays. So many channels are not really of any practical use as they're dedicated to particular services!
