Cobra Chartplotter

Has anyone used the Cobra Chartplotter with a C-Map?
I had a play with one in a chandlers and found it was quite easy to find my way around the menus.
Does anyone know how it performs in real life?

On my old 4CH Magellan, a useful feature is to be able to backtrack over the breadcrumb fixes to note a position at X time, do the modern generation of gps/plotters have this facility?

I purchaced the cobra plotter beginning of season had nothing but trouble with software etc, however after my third replacement would you believe its a good bit of kit with cmap max does everything tracks, forward projection of course over ground tidal arrows etc etc.

Do you know if it was a software upgrade that fixed the problem and was the 'etc' hardware problems?
Can you look back in the breadcrumb and get previous position / time fixes?

I bought one in June and have found it to be a good piece of kit.
Does everything it says it should but it is also more robustly built than other Cobra kit such as their radios.
I use ours mounted externally and not yet had any problems.

I think the first 2 plotters I had were faulty but I think they were some of the first available, the last one with latest software performs well
