Just got down to "improve coat hangers" on my to do list. Just wondering what other people use. I usually find my oilies and life jackets have fallen off their hangers into the bottom of the wet locker. I thought it might be worth having rigid hangers that don't swing when the boat heels.

We have an extensive collection, which is boosted when we do a rally which involves wearing a jacket and tie. My only contribution to our boat's happiness has been to hang my clothes with the hook pointing outwards, so that removing an adjacent hanger doesn't pull it out to fall on the cabin sole.

Asda plastic coat hangers, because there's a Fluxgate compass in the hanging locker. I just close the velcro neck on the foulie jacket, then it can't fall off. They have little "dress hooks" (whatever they're called) on the top, which are perfect for the salopette shoulder straps. Added bonus, they can't rust.
