Eavesdropping Ch 16 today, I heard Thames CG ask a casualty on the Blackwater whether he was north or south of St Lawrence.
Surely if he was to the south he'd be in Steeple or somewhere in Dengie?

Been there. When we moved, the house insurance quote was for Mersey Island, Liverpool. The next company said 'you don't live within a mile of the sea do you?'

Was there heavy overnight rain ?

No rain, but he was PanPanning because his anchor had dragged and got caught on something. I don't think he could have dragged to the south of Saint Lawrence though.
Or perhaps he was using the WRONG ANCHOR!

Well if he dragged in St Lawrence bay, he probably hooked up on an old mooring.
