Co-ordinates of Channel buoys for Port of Liverpool

I've painstakenly entered most of the buoys etc for Liverpool into my GPS from the harbour charts but am not sure of my accuracy. Can anyone advise me please of a suitable publication preferably on the WEB which lists their position?

Why would you bother.

if it is to navigate using the buoys - dont cause they may be out of position.

if it is to be able to miss the buoys during a night transit - the buoys may be out of position, and in any case a couple of waypoints should be sufficient to keep you clear.

If you must know where they are, then spend a few extra pounds and get a gps with a map.

You could call Mersey radio on Channel 12 and ask them if any of their buoys are out of position or flashing black.

just insert waypoints to the port side of the buoys, to replicate the transit thru to the bar, if you put in the waypoints of the buoys you are bound to hit them one day.

Looks as though I shall have to stick with the ones I've entered on the GPS which are a shade off the buoys to avoid hitting them.

Trickiest part of the channel going in, is the corner where it swings right about 60 degrees. It's quite easy to skip a buoy here if you're following them round as they are frequent and aren't always in line, the training wall is only just behind. Look on your port bow for one you might not have seen. It is basically straightforward though.

The large vessels using the channel can and do put up a large wash in close quarters...... be aware I wasn't the first time and it came as quite a shock ?

Inbound, it can be a surprisingly tricky approach, especially on a dark night. The lights vanish against the shore lights, there is a big dogleg and lots of traffic. None of this really explains why it is so tricky, but I have always found it particularly stressful! I find it essential to do the traditional ticking the buoys and noting time and log against each otherwise I quickly become disoriented. Radar is a huge help as the marks stand out beautifully.
