Of course it also means that if someone has a vtronix hawk aerial, they will have to buy a new aerial to comply with the rules, because, as my previous post states, the bullet will only fit on a 5mm cable to connect it to the aerial.
Seems as if the offshore peeps are a bit like this government! control freaks! I bet there is a good argument that vtronix will have done a risk assesment on their product to make sure that it is fit for purpose.
Another interesting point is that the leaflet that came with the new bullet that I am going to fit, shows how to make a BNC connection as well as a PL259, I was given to understand that BNC connections were not good for VHF aerial cables, it would seem that vtronix ar happy to use them.
