CNC Yacht Kits

Hi All,

Just wondering whether anyone has constructed their own yacht rather than buying an off the shelf one. I see there are companies in the US who supply CNC ply hull kits, but am unable to find anyone here in the UK.

Just looking for a project.

Hi,
There are a number of companies that supply pre-cut kits that you build yourself.

My particular favourite is the Secret from Whisper boats. The kit is imported from the Scruffie boat company in Australia and due to the method of construction is probably one of the easier kits to complete. http://www.whisperboats.co.uk/

Watercraft Magazine http://www.watercraft.co.uk is a good read on this subject, and PBO occasionally runs articles on this sort of thing.

When I have finished my current project I'm thinking of building something bigger, possibly a Secret.

I am also keen to understand how much the fitting out will cost. Would you happen to have any literature on what you can expect to spend ?
