CNB yachts

yes, there is a cnb INXS 23m sloop in med i went out in for a few hours. It's nice enough, sails along fine, stately stuff. But it is a touch "used" internally, a lot of expense to put right. They are all semi-custom as i understand and erm, that one has no bowthruster which makes med stern-to mooring tougher than it might be. The boogers also use as-new photographs when it's quite old, hence not all charterer's are as delighted when they arrive as they might be. The CNB head honcho wassisname olivier? french guy very nicechap speaks a lot of sense. Newer ones such as grandlue vintageetc look the biz tho not been on board.

Thanks for the contribution. The one I am proposing to sail on is 64'. I just wondered what everyone elses experiences were. It is not a common yacht but I thought that one or two of the forumites might have had a go...

thanks again

You don't want to be troubling yourself with one of them, next thing you will be spending time on an Oyster in the sun and wondering how your Bavaria can be converted to be like one in the Solent on a wet and windy weekend. Stick with the old girl, it will only ever cost you money. I should know, I started on a windsurfer!!!!

You might be right, and if I were honest I would really really really like an Oyster!!! Maybe next year, this year all the money is gone on trips to the West Indies... Hey ho I had better just take up something that costs virtually nothing at all like singin'... As to my Bav, she is a luvely lady, well tempered, good manners in a blow, but she has a dirty bum at the moment. But that is being attended to...
