CMAP updates. Do you/how?

I have a plan to sail down the W Coast of France this Summer and was
a) wondering whether my chart plotter CMAP covered the area and
b) when I looked at the Jeppeson site you could get updates by joininh their 'club' for $89.

Does anyone else do this? Is there any other way to update the charts.

I have M-EW-M009 MAX UK/IRELAND/MW2 which appears to do just what I want. Am I right?

i think joining gives you one up-date a year free

how old / when was yours last updated
 
I have just been through this.Good news is.... Any good C-Map agent can update a chart for you. You can either have it updated to the same area or a different one but only if it is the same size (local to local, wide to wide, megawide to megawide) Bad news is....It costs about half the cost of a new one. I just swapped one megawide area for another for £119... Joining the club costs $89 and I think the cost reduces somewhat but frankly you then have to deal with a bunch of Ities direct which is a pain. If you only have one to do it's not worth it IMHO but if you get one free it's your judgement. Personally I think dealing with C-Map since they closed the UK office in Fareham is a PITA
