Muddleduck will be along soon & suggest Port Bannatyne. I'll suggest Troon.
I'll only suggest PB for occasional trips and if inability to cross to Bute between 7pm and 7am is a problem. Otherwise I would recommend Largs. Good winter rates, as the OP says and and a lot more nice sailing nearby than Troon. The only issue is that the station and supermarket are a 30 minute walk or ten quid taxi ride away.

If I do a winter afloat again, it'll be at Largs.

PS I understand that PB is full for this winter, afloat and ashore.

Agree Rhu is not good for wintering afloat. I heard that its difficult to get insurance to winter afloat there. Shame as it is a nice spot.

Kip is very sheltered. We have wintered afloat there for many years without any problems. Other than Rhu, all the Clyde marinas should be ok.
