clubs?

Right, I doing my RYA theory course and will then move on to the powerboat practical... I'm drooling over boats in Yachworld.com and being frightened by the costs..

What I think I really need is some more real experience, and was wondering about joining a club if such things exist for motor yachts...

Anyone know of a motor yacht club anywhere between Cardiff and Swansea?

Try Cardiff Bay Yacht Club,it's South Wales premier club with a New clubhouse excellent facilities, friendly members, What more could you want.

I had a look at their website. Could be a possibility. Club fees are steep, however their berthing fees are much cheaper than penarth/swansea which would make it worthwhile.

My God, Taffies let loose with boats? Don't they have a problem with them trying to graze their sheep on the Severn Estuary or dig mines everywhere?

Actually I'm english, moved here from Newbury in Berkshire 2 years ago. People here are much friendler than in Berks /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Since I've been here I have learned to spot tourists from a mile way...

Tourist: "Oh look at the lovely sheep... isn't it cute"
Local: "bloody things... GET OFF THE ROAD... and take the sheep with you"
