Club racing for cruisers/yachts in the Med?

Just wondering if any keen club racers here could advise......

Do you know of places in the Mediterranean, ideally Spain or France where there is an active club racing scene.... I'm meaning something similar to the Poole, Southampton, Solent, Burnham scenes where there is regular weekly cruiser racing throughout the summer.

Am struggling to find anywhere, as I don't have local knowledge!

Antibes near Nice in France and also Marseille. But I find the French here are fine weather sailors and not motivated as on Atlantic coasts. Antibes organises a long bank holiday race to Corsica and back which is great fun (200+ boats and giant BBQ on the beach at Calvi. Berths are difficult to get (Antibes has a long waiting list for cheaper berths on the club pontoons).
