Close shave for Steve Jobs' Superyacht

I'm sure it would be in its own way very impressive to see close up but I still think it looks more like a supermarket or something from a distance...

I notice that the article refers to "ariel" footage.

Is that Ariel as in:

Ariel Motor Company, who first made penny farthing bicycles, then motor cycles, but now specialise in motor cars for the suicidal

A moon of Uranus

A little mermaid

A washing powder

or simply mean you cannot get the staff these days.

which ever the Zeebrugge ferries are not as ugly as that superyacht.

It serves as a monument to the arrogance and foolishness of a talented individual who thoughts has talents and expertise extended to anything and everything.

Well, that and the belief a juice diet would cure his cancer.
Steady on - that's a lot to infer from a yacht. I think any man who has created no less than four billion-dollar companies is probably neither arrogant nor foolish to believe his talents and expertise extend further than most. He would probably have been better off taking medical advice, though it's nothing to get upset about - he hurt nobody but himself.

I don't think it's any less attractive than most big motorboats.

**which ever** the Zeebrugge ferries are not as ugly as that superyacht.

Um, whichever, actually... you simply can't get the staff these days.

I'm not sure I expressed myself too well in my original post; I wasn't really conflating the two, merely providing an additional example of his 'Steve knows best' attitude, which had a rather more drastic consequence on him personally (and one which he told his biographer he deeply regretted).

It's the least attractive of all the boats that Philippe Starck has been involved in, by quite some way...but it follows the Apple credo of packaging something to look radical and innovative, even if under the skin, it isn't really.
