Clock mounting

Not sure it's the kind of thing that would be sold on its own. You get clocks and barometers already on plaques, but not the plaques on their own. It is of course about the simplest project for someone with a router to make, but you wouldn't be asking if you wanted to make it yourself.

Maybe try places that do trophies and suchlike?

Antique mahogany or other hardwood furniture is ridiculously cheap at the moment. Just buy an old cabinet and you've got more wood than you'd need. Not the Georgian stuff, preferably, cos it's rather nice.
 
Beware. On at least some and possibly all of these the top and the bottom are not parallel!

A good point! Although in some circumstances that could be useful if you wanted to be able to see your clock without craning your neck. Mine is right above the head end of my bunk and I can't see it unless i sit up and turn round!
