Under water inspection,rope around the prop or keel, anchor snag, groundings. just a few.

Ok so it's designed for 100metre depths but only tested to 20m. And motors which don't like seawater. Very useful!!

My keel is only 1.5m so should be fine for that. According to their site it was tested in sea water.

Yes it was tested in seawater but they do say there's an issue with the motors and seawater. And how will it cope with any tide? Surely easier to put a waterproof camera on a pole?

Maplins do(or did) an underwater camera thing on a long cable. I have used one tied to a stick to view the propeller. It cost £50 and I think that they did a colour version for about £150.

No it isn't. I have one and with a draft on 2.3 metres it was mpossible to control a pole and watch the screen. And very limited on angles of view.

Very British attitude being shown here. Some young blokes come up with an idea and everyone tells them why it is not a good one. It's a startup! Sure there are issues to resolve, bu they don't seem that big to me.

Thankfully the nearly 500 people who have pledged funds do not have that attitude.

Yes maybe I'm being cynical. I'd actually just don my wet/dry suit and get in the water and take a look. Is that British as well? Why rely on unnecessary technology?

A camera on a pole is all you need to to that, a gopro or simmilar.

I stuck a bit of clear plastic on the end of a bit of plastic drain pipe. Works well. Feel free to send me your money.
