Clearing up at Stevens Eyot, Kingston

[quote
While we are at it, is there anywhere in Kingston where one might get alongside and permit a semi-disabled (few short steps) mother-in-law to get ashore? The fingers are not long enough for her and I don't think the bow gate jump is one of her rehearsed moves:-) I've always gone to the fingers beforehand.

Outside John Lewis, just before the bridge. after Turk's building. The rear mooring might require a step up, but the one by the bridge is lower.
Or, the boat park after the bridge on the RHS - but then a walk into the town.

Be careful leaving your boat unattended at John Lewis. I came back once and was approached by one of the passenger boat crew who informed me he had to chase away some young yobs that were looking round my cockpit!

Here are some pics of the cleaned up Steven's Eyot. Very nice job.
