An issue we’re all sadly well aware of - fair play to him for doing something about it. The French approach sounds sensible but I imagine that would be a conversation for The Lounge, which I have never entered.

I'd be wary of what he is proposing in categorising old boats as "Hazardous Waste". That will just make disposing of old boats more expensive to deal with and thus more likely to end up dumped.

Most of the more aggressive beasts have gone elsewhere. You might get a gentle roasting, but not much danger of the full fire-breathing bit
