Cleaning Vinyl Seat Covers

I'll try that on my vinyl - but I thought GRP started to melt at temperatures higher than 60 degrees ? I assume you've no evidence of damage, otherwise you wouldn't do it......

GRP is not a thermoplastic and won't melt. Imagine how hot dark gelcoat gets in Mediterranean sun - easily above 60C.

Yes, I've done it on many boats.

Go easy with the Flash - it only needs a little.

The little faom sponges are awesome on vinyl seat covers trust me!

HOWEVER.............you better be prepared for a continual process of cleaning thereafter because those white covers get grubby again very quickly!! You'll be amazed how easy they are to use, and just how filthy its possible for a cushion to become.

acetone, but be careful !

Acetone will melt the plastic and will take out the slight grain effect that you have so I will upgrade "be careful" to "be very careful"

The pads are great but if they don't work don't despair sunlight over a long period has an excellent bleaching effect so if you can find some sun just leave them out.
If all else fails then "Fibretrim" are the OEM source for Sealine and will make new ones for you.
