Any thoughts on this....

The white bits of my deck, either side of my new deck paint aren't very white anymore - bits of old masking tape residue, years of dirt etc etc ....

Will "Flash" or Cream Cleaner do the trick - could you use a green pan scourer to effect a bit of elbow grease on this?

Solution must be cheap and require minimal effort as better things to do, but am being shown up by other newer vessels nearby!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ...and I don't want to be BLACKBALLED!!!

Thanks as always

Thanks Dave,

any ideas on enhancing the "whiteness"?

- please note I have no connection with Lever Brothers but my wife does use their products.

If its not to bad use 3M paint wipes they get rid off all sorts of marks and have an anti abrasive side aswell as a smooth side, for tougher stains use some cutting compound and a nail brush with a little water.

Good luck.

International Cutting compound is one of the best I have found - remeber you have got to polish straight after otherwise your nice clean hull will look even worse than before in 24hrs and there is potential to do some damage. As to kitchen cleaners, yea they will get some marks off but again cream cleaner takes off the protective layer so you would have to polish after. Howver I am not endorsing kitchen products for GRP!! especially if you want good results.
The cutting compound should bring back the old colour, remove small scratches and stains, the polish will protect and shine!

Try the magic sponges, just damp them with clean water and rub over sticky mess.
Flash are now doing them at 2 for about a pound, but can be bought cheaper under other names.
They cleaned marks off my boat that all the usual cleaners would not touch.
