Cleaning unvarnished interior wood

I have a lot of wood panelling on my boat. It is not varnished. Previously I have cleaned it down with a mixture on 1 part boiled linseed oil, I part Turpetine and 1/3 distilled white vinegar. It smells!
Does anyone have other pet recipes to clean and feed this wood.

I used to have a nice oak table at home. People were horrified when I cleaned it with wire wool and Briwax. The wire wool cleaned all the dirt out of the grain and rubbed the wax into the wood, it worked and looked good.

Oh, It didnt smell either!
