Be careful of pressure washing near bellows

? The bellows ( driveshaft and exhaust) have no connection with the outdrive lubrication.Be careful of pressure washing near bellows

could be tha I am thinking about a removed drive whilst pontificatingAny rubberware breached due to a jet wash passing across is definately past its replacement date and any jubilee clip that allowed water into the U/J bellows, was definately not tight enough.
There were usually a few barnycules attached to the bellows which were easily removed the real pain was getting in under the back of the leg.
Always hauled every year and changed bellows on condition or every two years minimum.
Only once had a U/J bellows failure resulting in the jackshaft bearing collapsing and an engine out situation, it was failure of propshaft and gearchange seals along with hydraulic cylinder failures which convinced a change of drive system was on the cards.![]()
