Mate has a small boat hauled out in local boatyard, with intention of getting hull/deck cleaned/polished (expensive, but time poor). The yard guy abandoned the job after a test clean & said it was unviable, due to the deep staining, with painting being an option (fair advice).
My mate has cleaned some of the hull with 'jif' & then pressure washed to get rid of deeper imbedded grubbiness. However, this is taking an age + some brown stains (could be rust) unable to move.
Is there a recommended cleaner, which would help?
have seen use of oxalic acid + oxalic acid based cleaners, but the bottom has a copperbot antifouling, which any acid might attack.
What straightforward paint job is suggested, should the deep clean fail?
How much for a 22' hull, approx?
