my boat has been lying for about 3 years now geting ready to launch when i removed the diesel filter it was full of black mud like stuff so i removed the tank and steam cleaned it but how would you clean copper fuel lines will they need done

Poke a thin bit of wire down the pipe, followed by a blast of compressed air.

I've experienced problems several times with muck lodged between the tank and the primary fuel filter.

Why take the risk?
Sounds like you are have Copper Microbore for fuel pipes.
I also had similar problem but with twin tanks and ripped the lot out as the only 100% way also considering you have already cleaned your tank is replace it with 3/8" Llyods approved fuel rubber piping.
Cost more money with new fittings and filters but you know everything is 100%.
Big benifit is if something is in the tank and gets through a bigger fuel pipe it is more likely to end up in your filter (where it should be) not blocking your pipes.
