cleaning canopies - clear areas

anyone suggest any good products and techniques when it comes to cleaning the clear areas on boat canopies. Driving back along the thames on sunday with the canopies up as was turning a bit cold and windy and noticed how bad the visiblility was through the front panels. Want to give them a clean next weekend but wondered if there is a good product out there (maybe even a good non-marine/non-expensive alternative). I also assume that I have to be careful not to cause any scratches on the panel

I use Auto Glym Resin Polish, have done for years. Cleans and protects and the water just runs off. Also use it on the glass - brilliant.

from reading their description it sounds like a polish for car paintwork?

ours had become opaque in places on a 3 year old canopy I tried absolutely everything. gave up in the end and had them replaced.
