The previous owner of my boat had obviously lost interest and had neglected to clean anything not on display.
The bilges could only be described as disgusting at best, my initial attempts were with a trowel rather than with degreaser.
So they got a lick and promise three years ago, the rear bilge proved to have rain water virtually up to the lazerette floorboards, most have weighed a ton.
Decided to spend last Monday morning sorting the bilges after all how long could it possibly take.?
Four days later and just about to start clearing up the mess made cleaning up the bilges and................... have got most of the paint off me.
The bilge does not look noticeably that much different but on the other hand the number of "little" jobs revealed and that urgently need doing down there have been revealed.?
