Dear Heart has just informed me that the offspring is with child. Naturally I am delighted.

The ensuing discussion took a slight turn for the worse when on finding out that the calving will take place on July 4th (ish) - all I said was that I hoped it didn't interfere with our plans for the Tobermory race.....

congrats - it has been sugested to me that this is one announcement that should be viewed only positively by the potential granparents ie either something positive wil be added to their lives or it won't - little direct downsides!

Ah well ... I presume that as you'll be sleeping with a grandmother soon all that grab a granny practice will pay off

erm .. there's a store called mommas & papas in london, near to drury lane in fact one tube stop off wherein you might get dragged into by granny to view the latest child transportation (off-road & self-tacking) which made the cost of a new set of sails, varnishing of woodwork etc a mere bagatelle or snip of a bargain ...

congratulations!!

Glad to hear all the positive feedback. We're due to acquire that status in a month's time. Not many weeks later SWMBO gets the bus pass. I'm feeling very old.

Should I go for a toupée? (there's not enough there to dye)

Congrats to you and yours. Shame about the sailing schedule though. Light on the horizon- in about seven years the new crew will be ready for testing...
